These are very brutal, dark and senseless crimes, but both scenes contain evidence that is a little too obvious, which Vera and Bent quickly pick up on, you have to be very good to fool a Criminal Investigator like Vera. And the more they try, the more determined she is to dig through the set up and find the secrets buried beneath....she will always find the truth.
This third book in the series has a lot of personal milestones for the Boyett sisters too, it's a great mix of intrigue and puzzles, with flashes of happiness and romance. I listened to this on Audible with Kindle Unlimited.
