Years after revolutionising our understanding of attachment theory, Dr Amir Levine returns with a brilliant, paradigm-shifting work on the science of secure human connection.

As Dr Levine explains in Secure, people with a secure attachment style are the most comfortable not just in their relationships, but also in their own skins.

The benefits of living in 'secure mode' are extraordinary:

· People tend to be healthier and have a better relationship with health care professionals.
· When they do have a difficult illness, they have fewer symptoms and handle it better emotionally.
· If they’re looking for a job, they’re more effective in their search and their self-esteem doesn’t suffer as much.
· They are less susceptible to consumerism.
· They even navigate social media better and experience fewer negative impacts.

The good news is that anyone, regardless of how insecure they may feel, can learn to create a secure life.

In his groundbreaking new book, Dr Levine presents offers practical, neuroscience-backed tools to help you to cultivate security so that you can thrive in your career, relationships, and more.

Written with compassion and warmth, Secure is the definitive, empowering and practical guide for anyone looking to improve their emotional health, deepen their connections, and build more fulfilling lives.

It’s all very good, and a highly recommended listen with perfect narration - you won’t regret it. I’ve learned a lot.

I think it lends itself to reading rather than listening…there are lots of multiple choice questions which I think land better on the page…definitely worth reading though…

Some great concepts, but…

I am actually very disappointed after having a lot of hopes and expectations for this audiobook. It’s such a let down. From the beginning and the whole book sections are all over and confuses you. This is a let down and a very badly written book and structured very poorly. It’s confusing but overall I would say the information inside this book/audiobook is good hence 2 stars for all yeh factual information.
