an excellent narration of a striking story about life beyond civilisation. as ever Waugh's humour is cut with a bittersweet edge.

a handful of dust by the same author would be a good read to follow.

Hearing Leonard Nimoy again was a pleasurable experience , the tones of his voice and animation of the words breathed life into this short story. How I wish I could have seen it live , it must have been captivating, solely missed much more than just Spock.
