About this listen

SEN Super Mom: Not All Heroes Wear Capes is a raw and deeply personal memoir from a single mother raising neurodivergent children while navigating grief, misdiagnosis, school battles and a system that often moves too slowly.

With honesty, faith and fierce advocacy, Chantelle shares her journey through stillbirth, delayed diagnoses, sensory challenges and the everyday realities of raising children with additional needs. This audiobook is for parents who feel unheard, overwhelmed or exhausted from fighting for their children and need a reminder that they are not alone.

Through heartbreak and resilience, quiet victories and unwavering love, this is a story about trusting your own instincts, standing up for your children, and finding strength you didn’t know you had. A powerful listen for SEND parents, carers and anyone wanting to better understand the hidden battles families face behind closed doors.

Listening to this was really heartbreaking. As a neurodivergent parent of neurodivergent children, I see you. It's awful and disgusting that children are being left to "wait" while they are actively struggling with the world around them. I can only hope that the more awareness and the more noise that's made, a positive change could be made.

Also wanted to add that I'm sorry for your loss and I'm proud of you for never giving up the fight! Your boys are a credit to you!
