Really left with a split opinion to the conclusion of this trilogy: the characterisation is still really good, after the slow start of the first book; the set pieces are really well paced; the narrator really does some great work with the different affectations he puts on; how everything is tied up fits really well with the situations that arise; the actual outcome for the solar system, as a whole, really sucks.

There are some improvements indicated, for those living at the bottom of the pile, but after all of the struggles that everyone goes through you kind of hope that there would be a big sea change; on the other hand, it is, honestly, probably more realistic that things ended up with a "Devil you know" scenario.

So, whilst I really enjoyed it, I was left unsatisfied. I can, however, only really put that down to my personal expectations.
