About this listen

What if you could rewrite the past?

Quinn Black is having the worst day ever...over and over again. The same car blocking his driveway, the same horrific accident he witnesses, the same cop that keeps preventing him from saving his boss from dying in it, and the same memory of a girl from his past that gets sharper each time.

Then he realizes he has the power to travel through time and change the future. With infinite opportunities to alter the past, the possibilities are endless. Could he prevent terrorist attacks? Natural disasters? The deaths of friends? Or even go back in time and say the right thing to the girl who haunts his dreams?

Unfortunately, the rules of time travel are more complicated than he imagined, and before long, Quinn is thrust into the greatest race in human history. His actions can either save the world or destroy it. And now the man who could turn back the clock is running out of time.

Fast paced, unique characters with personalities all their own, a fun fictionally plausible time travel concept, save the world premise, abrupt ending but satisfying after living the journey with the characters at high speed.

Quite the adventure

It starts as a simple story, the main protagonist realises he is in a loop and decides to save his friend. But as he tries to do so, he finds out that things are way more complicated than we thought.

clever story

Thid os a good popcorn book you could read on a plane. But this could have been so much more!

the sept-11 sub-plot for all its 'worthyness' takes too much out of the story. I was disappointed that the 'sub' plot took up until the penultimate chapter to resolve. if he had then wrote another 10-15 chapters on the main plot, it would have felt like full story.

I would have loved to have seen redemption, and struggle, those last 57 should have been a countdown, it was a brilliant plot device that limited his power and would normally be a 'second act issue' that would have woven more I to the story.

I loved this concept, it was great to see a guy plucked out of no where, take on this challenge, but he didn't actually learn anything and wasn't changed enough by the story to call it an arc. or at least, if he was, it wasn't obvious at the end.

I am resistant to buy the other two now, especially if this method of tying up the story is used again.

Abrupt ending, too long on a sub plot.

Great concept and story plot if you like sci-fi stories about time travel, excellent development of the characters in the book, although the story had patches where it seemed to go nowhere, but it always ended picking up!

interesting time travel theory, great narrator

I liked this book. in parts, it irritated me (mega richness and overly technical descriptions), but well worth listening to.

Very good, an ambitious book
