I absolutely love these books, but I have a hard time with the female narrator here, she sounds constipated and it's really annoying.

This second book was a little slower paced than the first, I'm not going to lie, but it doesn't take from the overall perfection of this duo! Dark romance through and through, not for the faint of heart! Delicious! The writing skills are also a golden point! Remarkable!

One of darkest stories you will probably ever encounter continues. Probably best understood by those who have experienced severe trauma in life and learned to live the best they can with the remnants of that. I love reading books that dare to go deep into our darkest places, our shame. It makes me feel like I’m not alone in being the way I am - and that maybe I too am deserving of love.
But the narrating very much drags this story down. Malyrs voice is extremely monotone and super slurred. It’s hard to keep focus. Galantias narration is better in this book than the last but I just find it annoying, she sounds like a child. Sebians voice is great. I had to look up spoilers for this book to prepare myself as I felt something terrible was coming. I’m glad I did…
