Summary

Could the sudden death of Sir Charles Baskerville have been caused by the gigantic ghostly hound which is said to have haunted his family for generations? Arch-rationalist Sherlock Holmes characteristically dismisses the theory as nonsense. Claiming to be immersed in another case, he sends Watson to Devon to protect the Baskerville heir and to observe the suspects at close hand.

I have listened and enjoyed a few of Sherlock Holmes now and allthough you have a vague memory of the various stories Derek Jacobi transforms them he is brilliant! I readly look for his narration before buying the book.

Derek Jacobi reads this story beautifully. I found I wasn't aware I was listening to a book as I was there on the moors in my mind.

Better being unabridged too.

I really enjoyed this listen throughout, it's not surprising these books are so well regarded and the voice performance was great

This is the best adventure ever I love it
Derek Jacobi is the 2nd best for Sherlock books (first being Martin freeman). I am very familiar with the Sherlock franchise (the tv show) and a big fan of the books and this is a classic book in the series and nobody can go wrong with it

Doyle is one of the best ever
