Very good, very entertaining- I really enjoyed the journey. Narration very good, with the exception of some very odd pronunciations of certain words, including Lestrade, mausoleum and debauched. Plus the emphasis on some words is on the wrong syllable… Very strange no one in editing picked up on this and assisted the narrator in getting it right. Presumably the narrator is not English… Enjoyable experience though…

Very good

Would you try another book written by David Marcum or narrated by Time Winters?

Written be David Marcum yes, read by Time Winters, NO

What other book might you compare Sherlock Holmes and a Quantity of Debt to, and why?

Other good Holmes pastiches

How did the narrator detract from the book?

An odd reading which appears to have been edited very badly. Timing of the delivery was ruined by what sounded like gap removal or compression in many places making it a very difficult listen. The two introductions read by the author were also weirdly robotic in delivery with hardly any gaps between sentences. Also, the accents were pretty appalling.

If this book were a film would you go see it?

No

Any additional comments?

The quality of this recording is not up to standard although the story is quite a good one. I would have thought Audible would have rejected this book on the quality of the reading (or what was done to it after recording).

Good story, very odd reading

The book started like a predictable short tale, then another, and another. They slowly came together as one long Sherlockian case. Very enjoyable! Highly recommend.

Excellent book!

Once again proving that the right narrator makes an audiobook, this chap really needs to learn to take a breath and pause occasionally for effect. Even at 0.8 speed it is like he has been asked to condense the story into an hour less than is actually required. It spoils what would otherwise be a good listen.

Good story spoilt by poor narrator

It's an engaging story, albeit the general solution was apparent reasonably early, with good dialogue. The narration wasn't as good as some but so much better than others and didn't detract from the experience. I listened to it over only a handful of sessions and I'll be sure to get some more by the author.
