There is a lot to like about this book. Watson us not the bumbling idiot he is often made out to be, sherlock does some cleaver deductions.
However the story is over complex so as to become completely ridiculous. The story also separates Holmes and Watson for a part at which point it turns into an 80s action movie.
It feels like the author should have done a number of short stories not convoluted plot which loses its way.

This is an excellent story which develops well and combines several different cases together. The story is well written and read in a thoroughly engaging way. This is a must for Holmes fans, packed full of action.
