I love these stories…maybe not my initial reaction as some strange plots but see why after listening 20x plus times.

Very, very good for audio imput. Im on half speed for the Arabic ))

Buy the book and you can read and listen at the same time..really help my written language.

Another bonus is they use the same stories in so many languages without much change of storyline so once you know them it’s easier to use other language versions too.
My only criticism, but I’m not scoring it, is that I would make the language a bit simpler for the 2nd and 3rd stories as so many new challenges/words…but as I keep listening they’re more useful as my skills improve. And also not meant for beginners so guess i was in the wrong place initially….but it didn’t seem it as such a great resource.
Well worth the money. T

Brilliant resource.

These stories offer just what intermediate language learners need - lots of common vocabulary and structures repeated in various ways in different contexts. The stories are not literary masterpieces by a long way (as some reviewers have noted) but that's not the point. They have a beginning, middle and end and plenty of realistic language and conversations. As an example, one excellent feature is that the writer has varied the interaction between single men, single women, pairs of people, and groups of people, so learners can be explosed to singular masculine, feminine, dual, and plural forms of verbs - and this is a feature of Arabic that requires much exposure and practice. The narrator speaks in natural but clear Arabic and the questions at the end are designed to be easy enough to answer and give readers a sense of achievement. The fact that you can choose either to read from a book, or listen via audio book or both at the same time gives language learners a lot of flexibility to choose to develop and practise different skills as desired.

I am an experienced linguist and language teacher and cannot find anything negative in this product. I highly recommend for other language learners.

Excellent language practice
