About this listen

I can't see the shadows that lurk in the dark.

It was supposed to be my first summer on my own, but then I meet Seth, Axel, Jasper, and Cody.

There's something about them that drew me closer, and they seemed hell-bent on protecting me. I didn't think I needed protecting until people started showing up dead in the woods.

So much for a quiet summer....

Can I escape the shadows, or will the darkness consume me?

Shrouded in the Dark is a stand-alone shifter paranormal reverse-harem novel with 140,000+ words that includes M/M.

I honestly already adore the Bordeaux team so when presented with another opportunity to listen to them bring a story to life, I jumped at the chance. The story follows Becca, whom Bridget portrays beautifully and her shifter men, all of whom were characterised amazingly once again by Jake. A real winning audiobook!

What can I say about this audio written by Aspen Black . It is well written, very detailed . It is full of mystery, attraction between some mates and the heroine.
Heroine is Beca
Beca is not your typical heroine, she’s shy , she thinks because she has a few extra pounds nobody will take notice of her . She’s an amazing painter.
Things start when she goes to the family mountain resort . That’s when she sees 2 males from her school and 2 more. Little does Beca know that they are shifters. The Shifters are all different shifters. Example the 2 from her school is a bear and the other is a fox . The Alpha of the pack is a Tiger which knows right off that Beca is their mate.
You will also see some M/M scenes between the shifters. Grab it. There is a lot more that I don’t want to ruin

Both Bridget Bordeaux, Jake Bordeaux performers was great . Their voice was great Their voice for each character was great you can tell who is who by their tone

Shrouded by a great listen

I really enjoy when I come across a different type of shifter romance book, and this one did not disappoint. Becca has her own issues that she struggles with on a daily basis, and her bestie always helps her get through the day at college. Then she’s introduced to Jasper and her life is about to change as she knows it. The friendship and love developed throughout this book is both heartwarming and heartbreaking. Sections of this book is HOT and some will fly by as the action is intense. All these characters grow and change by the end, I do love Becca and her mates. Their antics are both fun and serious. The dual narrative is excellent as both worked extremely well together.

I have listen to alot of shifter books and this one was such a fun listen. I love the way the characters interact with each other and the story is narrated amazingly 👏.

Lovely character, well written

There were so many opportunities for this plot to flourish. But none panned out, more just kept being added. Seeds of a good story were plotted and then completely swept over and forgotten about. There didn't seem to be any character development apart from a token gesture in the first few chapters. It was almost as though the writer had a list of topics readers like and decided to jam them ALL into one story, at the expense of the plot. The narration was fine except the terrible Southern accents.

Plenty of potential but missed the mark
