About this listen

'Sharp, thrilling, and action-packed, with a hell of a bite'
K. S. Villoso, author of THE WOLF OF OREN-YARO

CASTLEVANIA meets Jay Kristoff's EMPIRE OF A VAMPIRE in this action-packed dark fantasy where a vampire hunter must team up with a vampire couple to solve the mystery of a devastating vampiric-mutation.

Remy Pendergast is many things: the only son of the Duke of Valenbonne (though his father might wish otherwise), an elite bounty hunter of rogue vampires, and an outcast among his fellow Reapers. His mother was a subject of gossip even before she eloped with a vampire, giving rise to rumours that Remy is a half-vampire himself. Remy's whole life, his father has been shaping him into a weapon to fight for the kingdom of Aluria, though it barely tolerates him in return.

When a terrifying new breed of vampire is sighted outside of the city, Remy prepares to investigate alone. But then he encounters the shockingly warm-hearted vampire heiress Xiaodan Song and her infuriatingly arrogant fiancé, vampire lord Zidan Malekh, who may hold the key to defeating the creatures-though he knows associating with them won't do his reputation any favours. When he's offered a spot alongside them to find the truth about the mutating virus, now known as the Rot, Remy faces a choice.

It's one he's certain he'll soon regret.

But as the three face dangerous hardships during their journey, Remy develops fond and complicated feelings for the couple. He begins to question what he holds true about vampires, as well as the story behind his own family legacy. As the Rot continues to spread across the kingdom, Remy must decide where his loyalties lie: with his father and the kingdom he's spent his life defending, or the vampires who might just be the death of him.

Sharp, thrilling, and action-packed, with a hell of a bite
Bursting with thrilling battles, vampire court politics, romantic tension, and witty, irreverent dialogue, Silver Under Nightfall is an enthralling read . . . An adventure not to be missed
Fast-paced and darkly alluring, SILVER UNDER NIGHTFALL by Rin Chupeco walks a blade's edge of gray morality. When monsters are men and men are monsters, vampire hunter Remy must decide not just who to kill but also who he is
I thought I was tired of vampire tropes, but this one made me fall in love with them again
[A] delightfully pulpy tale
YA author Chupeco (The Bone Witch) makes the vampire genre feel fresh in their sensual and thrilling adult debut...Chupeco's multilayered gothic world is packed with political intrigue and treachery in both human and vampire realms and a delightfully queer cast. Gory action, exciting plot twists, and steamy love scenes keep the pages flying, but the author still makes time for a delicate, sensitive exploration of trauma and recovery. This stands out among the crowded vampire fantasy field
Fresh and compelling take on the vampire genre ... Silver Under Nightfall packs a powerful punch in its ambition, its joyous queerness, and its revelry and subversion of many vampire fiction staples. It is a wild, wicked, and welcome addition to the ranks of vampire fantasy novels
The epic saga will hold appeal for both horror and fantasy readers

Stunning Poly Historical Romantasy

I do like this author and when I started the book I was actually really excited as it reminded me of the film Blade trinity, with some Ryan Reynolds worthy one liners. But the end ruined it, as soon as the main baddy was spoken about, it was really obvious who is was going to be. I was hoping that like some of the other books there would be a massive twist and it wasn't who you'd expected from almost the start, but it was.

Disappointing end

Loved the audiobook and narration. Great beginning, gets you hooked. However, in the end, the plot, world building and romance fell short for me.

I absolutely loved this book and the story. it threw me through so many plot twists and was not at any point dull or dragging. it truly kept me on the edge listening.

What a delight listening and I almost envy those who get to listen/ read it for the first time.

I truly love every single character no matter how awful they are all so beautifully written.

This is everything I've wanted in a vampire novel and then more.

I am so excited for the next book!

truly loved it!
