Summary

Single-minded focus can get you far in business. In love? Not so much…

Presley

Giving up my soul-sucking career and moving to a small town was supposed to simplify my life. It didn’t.

Because relaxing isn’t as easy as I’d hoped it would be. Plus, the hot contractor in charge of my home reno is all kinds of distracting.

Especially when he’s so determined to keep our relationship strictly professional…

West

As a single dad with a military background, I’d seen it all. So, I was prepared for anything life could throw at me. Until her. Presley Holiday is so perfect she almost makes me forget that sleeping with a client is forbidden.

But I can’t afford to make another mistake when it comes to love. Keeping our relationship platonic is the right thing to do. Too bad doing the right thing has zero appeal when it comes to Presley…

Single-Minded, book 4 in the Single Dads of Dragonfly Lake series, is a spicy, small town, opposites attract contemporary romance that can be listened to as a standalone. Download today and get ready for swoony romantic escapism in Dragonfly Lake.

Swoon worthy! 💕

Presley Holiday is tired of her life as an investment banker in the city, and so has decided to move to the small town of Dragonfly Lake. The house she bought needs renovating. West Aldridge works for the construction company that’s renovating Presley’s house and he’s in charge of this particular project. As for West, he is a single father with 3 young daughters who works hard to support them. He is up for a new promotion at work and he sees this as his opportunity to make an even better life for himself and his daughters. His attraction to Presley makes this more complicated, as getting involved with her may put his possible promotion in jeopardy. Plus, he feels he has to protect his daughters’ hearts from being hurt if the relationship was to not work out. 😭

I always enjoy Amy Knupp’s small town romances, and this story was no different! Presley and West’s story was fun to read about. It was soo heart warming, and I very much enjoyed the part everyone played in it. The town of Dragonfly Lake is always so cute and filled with small town charm. Seeing Presley finally take a break and build friendships and relationships with everyone in town was a joy to see. Plus, she really built something with West’s daughters and that was adorable to see. Overall, this story was filled with banter, steam, romance, and more. If you love small town romances, you’re sure to also love this! 💕

The Narration by Stella Hunter and Connor Crais was just brilliant! I really adored their performances. They both brought emotions and authenticity to their performances, and they captured the characters personalities soo beautifully!

The Single Dads of Drangonfly Lake is one of my favorite series. Amy Knupp writes small-town romances with so much heart, that each one is sure to please, and Single Minded is another stellar entry.

West and Presley has instant chemistry, but West has three little girls that have has their hearts broken right along with him, and he doesn't want to put them through that again. Presley has had a successful career, but now she longs for a slower pace and the rewards of family, good friends, and true connections.

Their relationship was written with so much care and feeling. The heart, along with the heat, make this a really satisfying romance. West and Presley both have dimension, and you feel their emotions right along with them.

The audio, narrated by Stella Hunter and Connor Crais, is a perfect way to experience their banter and their road to Happily Ever After.

After devoting her life to her career as an investment banker Presley obtained financial security but not happiness. She has moved to Dragonfly Lake where she has purchased a home that needs renovations while she decides what comes next. West has been assigned as her contractor and as they spend time together the relationship between them becomes very personal.

West is a single father to three precious princesses who are his world. He is determined to protect their fragile hearts, so he isn’t prepared to let another woman come into their lives. What was supposed to be a casual fling with Presley begins to feel like more but will he be willing to let into his and his daughters lives and hearts?

Neither Presley nor West were looking for love and weren’t equipped to handle the feelings between them which caused some turmoil however love finds a way. Connor Crais portrays the insecurities that West is feeling while Stella Hunter shows the strength of Presley both when it comes to going after what she wants and what she deserves.

As someone who loves small-town romances with depth, Single-Minded completely hit the mark for me. Presley’s story hooked me from the start — a driven, former investment banker who walks away from her high-powered city career after a health scare, moving to Dragonfly Lake for a slower pace. Easier said than done, especially with West — the talented, maddeningly attractive contractor renovating her new home ; constantly in her orbit.

West is the ultimate single-dad hero: protective, devoted, and all-in for his three daughters. His “no clients, no complications” rule makes sense… until Presley. Their banter, slow-burn attraction, and eventual emotional vulnerability felt authentic and rewarding. I especially loved how Presley embraced his girls, respecting his boundaries but showing up for them in ways that deepened their connection.

The small-town setting, cameos from past Dragonfly Lake characters, and a strong found-family element made this feel like revisiting a beloved place. Amy Knupp balances lighthearted charm with moments of real emotional weight, making both Presley and West’s personal growth satisfying to watch unfold.

The audio narration was phenomenal. Stella Hunter captured Presley’s blend of determination and warmth perfectly, while Connor Crais gave West that perfect mix of rugged protectiveness and deep emotion — plus, his voicing of the three little girls was an absolute delight. Together, they made the chemistry leap off the page (or earbuds).

If you enjoy heartfelt small-town romance with relatable characters, layered emotion, and a sprinkle of spice, this is an easy one-click listen. I’m already eager for my next trip back to Dragonfly Lake.

This is the fourth book in the Single Dads of Dragonfly Lake series, a small town standalone romance — and a great addition to the series. West and Presley's slow-burn romance is sweet, fun, passionate, heartwarming, and engaging. They are opposites attract, and they are perfect together. West’s daughters are adorable, and the supporting characters are great. Connor Crais and Stella Hunter did an excellent job bringing these characters and this story to life. I enjoyed it.

Sweet slow-burn romance
