What a wonderful book. This will help a person or family become familiar with having a puppy before they choose to enter that journey with a furry friend. It also provides insight to the current puppy owner who is having difficulties with the variety of tasks that come up with bringing a pet into your loving home. What a great tool to have before or during your fun as a puppy lover. Thank you.

Bringing home a puppy was a lot more chaotic than I expected, and most training advice online just made me more stressed. This audiobook was a relief. Sit Happens! keeps things simple, kind, and realistic in a normal, busy household. It focuses on building good habits and trust instead of yelling “no” all day (that was me before this book). The housebreaking and crate tips worked way better than what we tried before. Our puppy is calmer, and so are we. He is now a good boy!

A good puppy guide

I recently got a puppy, and it's a lot more work than I expected! I thought the worst bit would be making time to take the dog for a walk... Let me tell you, the walks feel like a break compared to potty training, crate training, constant play and stopping him eating everything in the house! This book has so many great tips about how to deal with all of these things and help your puppy have the best start to life. Definitely worth checking out

Some great advice!

The "puppy blues" are a very real phenomenon, but this audiobook serves as a calming antidote to the chaos of raising a new dog. I truly appreciated that Summer Fitchley moves away from old-school dominance theories to focus on "connection over correction," which feels much more natural and sustainable for a family pet. The advice on integrating training into "real schedules" was a standout feature—acknowledging that most owners have jobs and busy lives rather than endless free time. Sarah Buck’s narration is warm, patient, and incredibly reassuring; she sounds like a knowledgeable friend talking you off the ledge after a potty accident. If you are drowning in conflicting advice and just want a peaceful, positive roadmap to a well-behaved dog, this is the gentle guide you need.
