Summary
From USA Today and Amazon Charts bestselling author Meghan Quinn, comes a new coach’s daughter, workplace, forbidden standalone sports romance featuring the hockey men you can’t get enough of. This steamy, roommates-to-lovers romantic comedy will bring all the laughs while burning up your earbuds at the same time.
Did I think I was going to fall for my coach's daughter?
The answer would be no. I'm still unclear on how I got into this predicament in the first place. A year ago, I was a man with one thought on his mind, the redhead I met at a hotel bar. Twelve months later, I found her. Unfortunately for me, she not only happens to be my very off-limits coach's daughter, but also . . . my new assistant and roommate. I don't even need an assistant, but Coach Wood doesn’t take no for an answer. Add in him writing up tasks for his daughter, Wylie, to complete for me? Well, it's his own form of sweet torture. We are talking tasks that I would never ask her to do. Tasks that make her despise me. Hate me. That make her utter four words that cause a shiver to crawl up my spine . . . Posey, this is war.

So This is War is another fantastic multi cast audio. A great cast, with great performances that bring this whole group of characters to life. Especially when it comes to the group texts. What cracked me up is that Posey didn't make a group chat with the other boys, oh no... he enlisted the help of the girls and OMG these messages cracked me up!
I loved the dynamic between Wylie and Posey. It was full of mutual respect and support, both wanting the other to be successful and the way Posey cheered Wylie on to go for her dreams despite her father's harsh disapproval was so endearing. I also fell in love with Wylie when she gave a good as she got when Posey was setting tasks for her to do as his assistant, she made sure to make things as hard as possible for him in return too with her feminine wiles.
These two were so physically compatible and there is one scene in a club (IYKYK) that was insanely smoking hot and that alone left me wanting more. I wonder if any old school MQ fans are being reminded of The Bourbon Series after reading that chapter?
As always the story takes you on a whole roller-coaster of emotions. The difficult parts come in the form of the relationship between Wylie and her Father. He is very critical of his daughter and dismissive of her dreams. There are some uncomfortable moments in the story and I do wish that the wrap up of this part of the plot came a little earlier so that you got more of a feel for how these two work it all out and Coach Wood get back in favour with the reader.
So This is War was overall another great addition to a fantastic series and I highly recommend the audiobook! Our bologna loving hockey player did not disappoint.
A brilliant multi cast rom com delight

And making it all come alive is Teddy Hamilton and Emma Wilder along with all the voices of the first four stories. It's makes this a family feel of good friends and good love! Hamilton is the self confident player and he knows what he wants. But his conflict is felt so strongly with Hamilton's nuances, I was sure he would never break. Wilder is so good as Wylie, as she tries and breaks Posey down. Each try, I was laughing at the antics. These two along with J.F. Harding, Jason Clarke, Connor Crais, Stella Hunter, Kelsey Navarro-Foster, Erin Mallon and Vanessa Edwin made my Saturday fly by! It was a great listen.
Laughter and romance!

Posey, the self-proclaimed God of Matchmaking, meets his ultimate challenge in the form of his coach’s daughter, Wylie. The chemistry between Posey and Wylie is perfection, and their interactions are filled with both tension and passion. Posey's internal conflict—tasked with making Wylie miserable by his coach while being irresistibly drawn to her—creates an interesting dynamic between them & a whole bunch of sexual tension😜.
The connection between Posey and Wylie is intense, and the erotic elements are handled with a perfect blend of steam and appreciation for what each of them likes. The "Erotic Wars" they engage in are indeed epic, pushing the boundaries of their relationship and testing their resolve. The heat level is 🔥🔥🔥, and the narrators absolutely turn it up a level, making it a steamy and thrilling listen.
The Queens and the Frozen Fellas, add depth and humor to the story. Their interactions with Posey provide both comic relief and heartfelt moments, making me love this tight-knit group even more. The camaraderie and support among these characters are genuinely touching, leading to some unexpectedly emotional moments🥲. Meghan got me with the notes 😍
This audiobook not only delivers on the steam and romance but also got me in my feels. Whether you're a fan of hockey romances or just looking for a well-produced and engaging audiobook, "So This is War" is a must-listen. Prepare for a rollercoaster of emotions, from laughter to tears, and everything in between.
I love this war 😉
