Cocky. No word better described Solomon.

He projected the playboy image, but only he knew the truth. Deep inside, he wanted what his brother and friends had - a mate.

Fifteen hundred years was a long time to be alone. Solomon’s pure vampire bloodline and family name made him desirable, but that didn’t take away the loneliness.

Lilah was fiercely independent and distrusting of paranormals out of necessity. Some treated her with contempt because of her half cheetah shifter/half fae heritage. They thought she was beneath them when she was actually superior.

Someone was determined to take Lilah’s life, but who was behind the attacks remained a mystery. Solomon fought off the first assault then became Lilah’s sole protector until he uncovered who wanted to harm her.

One wanted a mate, and the other didn’t. But fate didn’t ask for their opinion.

They could only fight what was meant to be for so long before the inevitable happened. If they managed to stay alive, maybe they would learn what it meant to be fated.

I almost forgot how much I missed Solomon. I couldn’t wait for his book to arrive. I knew I would love it, but I was afraid it would be the end of the series, and I didn’t want that! Solomon is a fifteen hundred year vampire in a twenty-five-year-old body. He’s handsome, funny, and cocky; he does kind of have the right to be, he is a Verascue after all. While he has the playboy image, and it works for him, he really wants a mate, he just hasn’t found the one yet… until he goes into a bar and meets a woman his charm doesn’t work on like it does with other women! She’s sassy, spunky with a backbone! Enter Lilah! I think she is my spirit animal!

Although Solomon gives off the “devil may care” vibe, deep down, he really wants to find his mate, but the longer he goes without his mate, the more he believes he will never meet her. Lilah has a pretty complicated background. She’s half-fae and half-shifter (cheetah), and in most places, half breeds are frowned upon. One night at the bar, things get a little dicey. A bomb goes off, and the target is unknown, but what is clear, Lilah is in danger, and Solomon is there to protect her. Can they find out who is behind the attacks in time before Lilah becomes the next victim, or will the past finally catch up to them?

The mystery, the intrigue, the humorous pickup lines… this book did not disappoint me! I thought I was in love with Ford, but Solomon can break your heart. Lilah takes no mess from anyone. Her interactions with Solomon were great, but her interactions with his mother, Eloise, was even better! I forgot how much I missed Eloise! As usual, you get to catch up with some of your favorites, and it’s a good time all around. The narration was perfection! I wasn’t too surprised by the villain, and it completely makes sense even though it’s heartbreaking. This is one series I never want to end!

Lilah has no interest in love or finding her mate as she witnessed first hand what happens when one mate loses another and she doesn’t want to have to endure that pain herself. She is part cheetah shifter and part fae who won’t back down from anyone or anything. She has found a home working at the bar that her bear shifter best friend Don owns, and she was content with her life until Sol entered the bar and her life and refuses to leave.

Sol is a vampire from a powerful family who would be happy to find his mate but until then he is content with playing the field. From the moment that Sol met Lilah he knew she was special even if she refused to let him touch her. When there is an attack on the bar Sol comes to her rescue and he has made it his mission to keep her safe until they discover the truth behind the attack.

I really enjoyed Sol and Lilah’s journey. She is feisty, fiery and destined to be his mate both in heart and attitude while Sol’s ego and confident personality knows exactly how to get a reaction out of her and everyone in their lives. Heat and humor combine with great secondary characters of family and friends. I received a complimentary copy of the audiobook and the choice of the narrators couldn’t have been more perfect for these characters. 🎧 Audiobook Obsession

Oh how I’ve been waiting for Sol. And Michelle did not disappoint. This book is written so very well. I love how we see the soft side of Solomon. He’s still as funny as ever. There was quite a few laugh out loud moments. I must say this is my most favourite series, with all these likeable characters with fantastic storyline’s. This world has opened up so much potential, I can’t wait to see where Michelle takes me next. Fantastic performance from both narrators.

Amazing

Solomon may seem like he's hard to deal with, but he's loyal to those he cares about. The only thing that doesn't seem to be a possibility for him is finding his mate. He's convinced he's meant to be the playboy he pretends to be until he meets Lilah. Lilah is dead set against finding her mate. She'd prefer to be alone over the possibility of anybody leaving her. To keep from finding her mate, she refuses to touch anybody. I've been waiting for this book! While it didn't fully meet my expectations, it was amazing. I loved it. I read it too quickly! That's okay. I plan to read all the books in this series over and over again! It's an amazing series. While it didn't have to be read in order at all, I'm glad I did anyway. I'm even looking forward to the next book as well. Solomon is one of my favorite characters in this series. He's just witty and charming. He's definitely on my book boyfriend list. He's like Eric from True Blood but not as brutal. I really liked Lilah too. She had a lot of pain, but she was willing to be up front and honest about everything. That's not something you see a lot in books. They usually just assume what the others are thinking or feeling about them. Troy Duran and Sarah L. Colton were as amazing narrating this book as they were the rest of the series. I absolutely adore their style. I will definitely look for other audiobooks that they narrate to see if it's bias from the series or if I genuinely like their style. I'm leaning more towards the style honestly. I fully recommend this series. It's been very fun to read and I'm looking forward to the fifth book. I believe it comes out in a couple weeks, but I can't be sure. Hopefully it won't be too long before there's an audiobook version of it. I've listened to the first four. I may as well complete the tradition.

My Solomon

Solomon’s Surrender by Michelle Dare is a paranormal romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Sarah L. Colton and Troy Duran.

This is the forth book in the Paranormals of Avynwood Series. The book can be read as a stand-alone but I find it helpful to read the series in order since they reference characters from previous books.

I absolutely love Michelle’s books! I cannot wait for the next book in the series Brayden’s Return to be released on audible so I can dive into Brayden and Kandra’s love story.

Sarah and Troy did an amazing job on the narration. They really know how to bring a story to life.
