This is such an original Historical Romance. One absolutely knew that one was dealing with the Haute Ton, without visiting one Ball, Rout or Masquerade (although there was a quick visit to the Opera - very amusing - and a pre-wedding dinner).

Fabulous characters, both above and below stairs! Pithy dialogue and an intriguing plot! I’m interested in listening to/reading the rest of the series.

I don’t easily give a 5 star but this book has really entertaining me. I couldn’t stop listening to it. Did all in one day. It’s light with just the right amount of suspense and plot twists. A bit too many impossible coincidences happening but easy to forgive as gives the result/direction the story needs. If anyone reading this is thinking in downloading, go for it and enjoy.
