This story is action packed, with Eve and her ever ending sword play, Xai at her side, clashes between the angels, archangels, demons, one mean ass succubus, Kalida, after Eve finds her way out of a particular situation with Kalida in the shadow world Eve vows, “I’m craving a plate of death with a side of revenge, please.” Delicious hot scenes, will have your panties in a twist! One swoon worthy scene is when Xai entreaties Eve, “Don’t send me away I Love you, I need you losing you would be my end.” Our kick butt Eve succumbed to his entreaty but with her usual snarky comebacks.
I have fallen deeply into this world where you can trust no one, danger lurks around every corner, where even your parents are cryptic, puppet masters, where destiny is in the balance and the power is shifting. Can’t wait to see where Eve and Xai go next in there new roles

Son of Chaos by Lexi C. Foss is a paranormal romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Sarah Puckett and Tristan Hunt. This is book two in The Dark Provenance Series but the books can be read as standalones.

Lexi did an amazing job with the storyline. I enjoyed the romance, drama, and action that surrounded Xai and Eve. There were just enough sexual scenes to make it a paranormal romance but not enough to distract from the storyline. I enjoyed that book two had more of Xai’s point of view. I hope there will be a third book because I absolutely love this series.


Sarah and Tristan did an amazing job narrating. I absolutely loved this duo and hope to hear more of them working together in the future. They made the story come to life.

Be prepared for the emotional roller coaster that the daughter of death and the son of chaos will put you through. Their love for each other is tested in this book, and their bond has grown. I do love the world that Lexi has created and you’ll fall more deeply with these characters! Sarah and Tristan did an excellent job with the narrative!

This is a brutal book. It carries on from book 1, Daughter of Death with just as much action, passion and fantastic characters. I’m in love with this world and all in it. I hope there is lots more to come. Sarah and Tristan bring these characters to life so well.
