The books are page turners, and "Soul Eater" is perhaps the most thrilling, with a satisfyingly twisty plot and some genuine surprises.
Young adults will embrace Soul Eater wholeheartedly and fans of the Ancient Darkness series will find that Paver has given then a third instalment even better than the previous two.
It's a living, breathing, world of a story, perfectly realised and never missing a beat.
We rate this series incredibly highly with the belief that children from 9 upwards will love the adventure, the mystery, the fear and the friendships that the author has so cleverly intertwined within the story.
Readers of the first two installments of the Chronicles of Ancient Darkness series will be thrilled with this story --- probably the most powerful book yet.

This is the second time I have read this series it is a beautifully told story about friendship, between a boy and a wolf as well as unlocking to power within and suppressing evil! The perfect bedtime story for 7years plus 💕

this book we see the soul eaters take wolf, I was on the edge of my seat. you learn so much about fa and I love that each book is set I a new landscape dreamt up by Michelle Paver. The amount of detail you feel like you standing there with torak and Renn and you forget the book is written for children one of my favourite books series.

Ian really brings a new life to an already loved story of mine. Michelle's writing thrills and enthrals, with her humanisation of the wolf and the supernatural prehistoric woodland clan laws and rituals. Well worth the buy!
