Thomas Avant is polished, prominent, and politically ambitious. He is also a psychopath. Thomas makes money the old-fashioned way—he steals it. Hiding behind his world renowned auction house, he acquires rare treasures and then fences them through a local charity auction. He has to blackmail Sandra, the charity head, for that privilege.
When Sandra discovers evidence that Thomas has a fictitious identity, that he’s committed atrocious crimes in the persona of his alter ego Dwarf, she puts the evidence on a thumb drive and leaves town. But not fast enough. Chased into a park by Thomas’s goons, Sandra knows she’s as good as dead. When a friendly dog wanders by, she hides the thumb drive in its bandana. If she can’t take Thomas down, maybe somebody else can.
