About this listen

THE BATTLE OF WITS AND LOGIC IS JOINED AGAIN!

STAR TREK®

SPOCK VS. Q

THE SEQUEL

AN ALIEN VOICES® PRODUCTION

STARRING LEONARD NIMOY AND JOHN de LANCIE

Written by Cecelia Fannon

Following their debate over the fate of mankind, Spock and Q have continued their discussions over a meal. After dining, the two return to the stage to recount their repast, which included encounters with several of Spock's former shipmates.

However, at the moment the two verbal sparring partners shake hands, a power surge places them in total darkness. Suddenly, Spock and Q are no longer on stage, but somewhere in deep space.

As they struggle to determine what has happened, a curious personality change takes hold. Spock is overcome with giddy delight. Q is much more serious, even...logical.

Masterfully performed by Leonard Nimoy and John de Lancie, Star Trek® Spock vs. Q: The Sequel is a fascinating and often hilarious role reversal that reveals previously unknown sides of Spock and Q. It is a program so original it could only come from Alien Voices®.© and (P)Alien Voices, Inc., All Rights Reserved; (P)2000 Simon & Schuster; AUDIOWORKS Is an Imprint of Simon & Schuster Audio Division, Simon & Schuster Inc.

I listened to this sequel a very short while after listening to the first (I am not sure, but maybe they recorded both parts in one evening). I really enjoyed the different angle this sequel took, by having the actors switch roles. It was great to experience the actors stepping outside their usual roles, which I thoroughly enjoyed. This situation leads to some great jokes, and the chemistry between the two actors is as great as the first Alien Voices.

If you loved the first Alien Voices, this is well worth picking up!

A great edition to the first Alien Voices!

the last one was a lot better, but then sequels are almost always like that. Unlike the predecessor this one had more of a plot, but as the plot was quite silly the experience was diminished. Also, one again, the live audience was annoying.

Good, but...
