This is by far the worst book and audiobook I’ve read/listened to. The fact that it is abridged means that you’re already losing out on so much worldbuilding and contextual text that you’re just thrown into scenes without knowing where you are and who is talking most of the time. The story makes no sense, the music and SFX are too loud, Heald mispronounced names like it’s a contest and misplaces the emphasis in a sentence like he’s trying to confuse you purposely. Nothing makes sense, I feel drunk and confused listening to this. Every character has the same voice. Don’t waste your money or credits on this and get the actual book instead. Such a shame I can’t get a refund for this because I paid for it with real money. Avoid this at all costs.
