Summary

Contains all four books in the Stellar Heritage series. Listen to Legacy, Spheres of Influence, Far Horizons, and When One Door Closes to witness the rise of man's first galactic federation: The Terran Alliance.

When Simon and Katherine Hawke stumble upon an alien shuttle that has landed on Earth, it will not only change the course of their lives but also the entire world. Taking the shuttle into orbit, they discover a much larger ship left adrift with no one on board. Commandeering it, they confirm that we're not alone in the universe and must prepare the human race for what is about to come.

Kitty and Simon find a spaceship. They build a fleet of spaceships. They meet aliens who want to kill them. They kill them back. They meet other aliens who want to befriend them. They make friends and kill more of the bad aliens. That’s all the books in the series in summary. Not big on originality in the big picture, with a few interesting ideas in the detail. Several of the main characters are almost identical though, and the two principles are annoyingly sanctimonious. The writing is technically average but the storytelling is good. I struggled to get through the series and I won’t be buying any more.

An entertaining read for Space Opera lovers

Wow.. This was a first. 64 hours.. its taken me i think about 6 weeks of listening - whilst doing things like - dog walks and pre sleep, cooking and house cleaning.. It was a total treat to know that i wasnt going to have to wait for the next addition or if I could afford the next credit. The narrator is first class - well done Mark - so many voices u conjured it was easy to get to know the different characters. The story line was compelling enought to keep me interested and a nice few twists and turns and a nice happy ending - why not.. It feels wierd to have finished it now.. I will look out for other books by the same auther now - thanks Bob. Love from Bristol UK (",)

64 hours of total distraction from the world.

Writing fiction in any genre needs to hang on to reality for it to work. As much as I like the concept of this story
I never believed in the easy way everyone involved williingly accepted events.

Challenging Concept

Filled with everything you need from sci-fi. Spaceships, aliens, cultural clashes, political intrigue, right and wrong, good and bad, accidental adventures at home on Earth and out amongst the stars. Each book keeps adding more and more to the story, staying fresh, getting bigger, going further, everything expanding at the speed of light. more than a few good twists and turns, no nerdy science bits and even a sprinkle of space magic!
An enjoyable easy read (or listen...). Recommended to space novices and starry eyed nerds alike!

all of the sci-fi with none of the nerds
