Summary

When faced with love in its most raw and savage form, can it truly conquer all?

Dante wasn't looking for a woman. He was content with being a single dad, and slowly but surely taking his place as leader of his club, Devil's Disciples.

His life was busy, and he didn't need women complicating things. Fuck them, leave them.

Don't catch feelings.

But Dante had never met a woman like Rachel.

Rachel has a past. One she has worked hard at erasing. With others paying for her crimes, she moved halfway across the world and put it all behind her. Until a chance encounter with Dante seals her fate, binding them both together in a toxic, violent embrace of passion.

As the two strike up a relationship that is as fiery as it is all-consuming, she begins to unravel, revealing wounds that time has failed to heal, igniting a protective fury within Dante.

But in a world where loyalty is currency, and strength is power, betrayal strikes, threatening to destroy the very foundation of the Devil's Disciples. Dante is bound by his loyalty, and Rachel soon learns that the biggest danger may not be the secrets she hides, but the man riding at her side.

Stolen by J. M. Jonson is the first book in The Devil's Disciples Trilogy. Let me start by saying I'm in love with this world, this character and I couldn't put this book down not even for a moment! Obsessed! This is a very delicious and pretty dark motorcycle club romance! If you watch Sons of Anarchy and liked it this is up your alley, however our MMC, Dante, would put Jax to shame! The story is such a good captor/ captive romance!! J. did an absolute amazing job building the world, the characters and the plot.
Dante is broody, grumpy, mortally black, but men how I would crawl for him in any way possible!
Rachel, the FMC, you will see a person blossom from the first moment on the page, till the end. She is smart mouthy, strong and intelligent. And BTW this book ends on a major cliffhanger!
All I'll tell you is please read your trigger warnings!
This book climbed up in the top of my dark romance books!
Audiobook: performed in duet style by the wonderful voices of Lucy Rivers and Ben Heart. Cameo appearance by Joe Arden. Both Lucy and Ben have an amazing versatility, breathing life in these characters, poring emotions over and over this performance, it elevated the storytelling to another dimension and making this a masterpiece!
Blue Nose team did an outstanding job producing and editing this to perfection!

Omg this was so good

I don’t usually write reviews, but this book was just wow! The characters, the story, the angst, the spice, the darkness. The depravity. This book has it all. Couldn’t wait for the next book on audio so had to switch to kindle just to see how it ends, I was just so invested and it didn’t disappoint. Much love to JM Johnson, your dedications are epic, Lucy Rivers always brilliant and first time narrator for me, but now one of my favourites, Ben Hart 💖

Wow, just wow!

It is always great to check out new-to-me authors, and with J.M. Johnson’s intriguing bio and this book’s blurb, I was in, well that and the amazing casting of her audiobook. Johnson writes dark, spicy romance with morally grey men and strong women who are fierce, and this book is just that and so much more, an enemies-to-lovers romance like no other. Rachel was running from her past life, getting a job across the pond as an au pair, not really liking the parents, but she tolerated them for the sake of the son who she was great with, and for. She was in the UK with them on a trip and was worried her past would catch up, so it was a relief that their stay was ending soon and they’d be returning to the States. Except that never happens, what happened instead was Dante, the V.P. of The Devil’s Disciples. Dante takes what he wants, and he wanted Rachel, and he always gets what he wants. Dante wanted an old lady, someone to help with his daughter, someone he could bend and mold, a submissive. He thought he knew what he was getting with Rachel, but he was in for a rude awakening because he met his match, someone who was going to give him a run for his money and gave as good as they got. Wow, just wow, the push and pull between them is amazing, and I am not sure who is wilder or more cunning, Rachel or Dante, equally cunning and equally psychotic. Though of the two I think Rachel is the most broken of the two and Dante is trying to help with that, in Dante’s way. Their volatile relationship is intense and sits on a thin line between love and hate. Besides the romance storyline, there is an introduction to the Devil’s Disciples motorcycle club, the key players, and we get a glimpse into their world and the drama going on within. I loved the dynamics among the MC members and Dante’s family, except for the traitor(s) in the midst. This cleverly plotted, multi-layered story has plenty of drama, angst, some humor to lighten things up, heartfelt emotions, steamy scenes and romance. J.M. Johnson, thank you for this amazing story, a wild ride that has your heart racing and a mind-blowing ending that leaves you wanting more.

🎧📚🎧Lucy Rivers, Ben Hart and Joe Arden deliver an incredible performance, bringing the characters to life, from the pages to your ears. Their character voices are fitting for a perfect portrayal of each and they were believable in every role. Ben Hart and Lucy Rivers perform the roles of the two lead characters, as well as side and secondary characters, with Joe Arden covering Vienna’s role, full of personality, charm in an MC sort of way. Hart nails it as Dante, grasping all aspects of his personality, from his no-nonsense alpha-tude to his angst and rage, to his caring side and all in between. Rivers does the same in Rachel’s role and is just as amazing, embodying her personality completely, including her fierceness, sharp-tongued wit, and her vulnerabilities. They were naturals in handling the witty banter and dialogue, landing the sarcastic humor effortlessly. They were great at conveying all the characters’ emotions, making you feel them all. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to, and their captivating performance rivets you to the story.

I love this triology. I have the books in physical form, audio and on kindle and I can't get enough of them. This might be my favourite of all time. I was laughing most of the way through. This was perfectly done, exactly how I imagined they would sound too.

I love this book.

The story itself was pretty good. There is a plot and backstory which is unusual in this genre.
Weirdly though both narrators had really posh accents. They’re in Leeds but don’t sound remotely like they are. I’m assuming the accents were for Americans who think all Brits sound like Downton Abbey. We don’t almost no one does. So they’re doing upper class accents for bikers. It was odd.

Poshest bikers ever!
