Summary

A consummate insider as the girlfriend of Lindsey Buckingham, Fleetwood Mac singer and guitarist, Carol Ann Harris leads fans into the very heart of the band's storms between 1976 and 1984. From interactions between the band and other stars - Mick Jagger, Eric Clapton, and Dennis Wilson - to the chaotic animosity between band members, this memoir combines the sensational account of some of the world's most famous musicians with a thrilling love story. The parties, fights, drug use, shenanigans, and sex lives of Fleetwood Mac are presented in intimate detail.

With the exception of one brief interview, Carol Ann Harris has never before spoken about her time with Fleetwood Mac.

I’m sad that LB has abusive bad energy attached to his life. To attack a woman makes him a little lost boy in my eyes.

I enjoyed being let into the inner circle of the band despite this being from Carol’s perspective - I’m going to get other audible books about the band …

Overriding admiration for Carol for sharing her story and walking away - my father was abusive to my mother (and other women in his life) so I really felt for Carol while listening to this.

Not all the book is about domestic abuse… most of it was scintillating and fascinating. Very honest and entertaining.

Thank you for sharing.

Brave honesty for fans of Fleetwood Mac

I too have listened to it more than once. As the band is so full of interest not only on the level of their amazing talent but on a personal level too. Such an honest admirable account from Carol.
Great shame to here of LB behaviour. But it doesn’t surprise me. You often here that many talented Artists in all fields are so obsessed and intense with their work that they have to kick out in another way. Not saying LB behaviour was acceptable. A very recommendable read.

Such a great insight

An interesting tale of rock and roll life and the amount of drugs consumed and the work that goes into making albums, BUT, the author’s tolerance of the physical abuse is sickening. (Though it happens all the time I know.) She writes in cliches, every cliche you can think of will be there, repeated over and over. Just when you think it can’t get any worse she has a very early miscarriage and I just knew she was going to say she felt empty and numb. She credits herself with a “sarcastic sense of humour” and I really wish she had put some of that in this book, but it’s nowhere. The readers attempt at British accents is dreadful! Well I learned stuff but honestly, it reads like a teenage romance

Fantastic book. The good bad and the downright ugly of dating someone in a famous band. Sadly loads of women have experienced the same of these guys.
