I thought I'd opt for something completely different for my next read and this book fit the bill. A collection of short stories, over eighty in total, of odd happenings in and around woods. Some stories are better than others, some are definitely creepier than others. There will be something here for everyone and each story is typically less than five minutes long, so a book one can easily dip in and out of when the mood takes you. Each story is contained within its own chapter, so easy to navigate.

Not too much more to say, other than it might have been better had there been two narrators, a male and a female voice to represent those stories clearly male or female oriented.

This might be a good book to listen to while around a camp fire out in the woods on your next holiday! :)

This is quite a big collection of interesting true stories. Some are maybe paranormal, whilst others are simply strange. They do sound to me as though they are genuine. (I mention this because sadly ‘true’ stories are sometimes quite obviously untrue.) I’ve enjoyed them enough to start looking for more of the same by the same author. I actually listen to them in bed each night, and so have to keep going back to re-listen to stories I slept through. I’d recommend them to anybody interested in the strange 👍
