Summary

‘A fast-paced, terrifying journey.’ RACHEL ABBOTT

‘A born storyteller.’ PETER JAMES

A stranger is just a killer you haven’t met yet… The SUNDAY TIMES bestseller returns with the next big thing to hit the shelves. If you haven’t discovered Paul Finch yet, this book will have you hooked.

Unknown, alone, and fearing for your life: as PC Lucy Clayburn is about to find out, going undercover is the most dangerous work there is.

But, on the trail of a prolific female serial killer, there's no other option – and these murders are as brutal as they come. Lucy must step into the line of fire – a stranger in a criminal underworld that butchers anyone who crosses the line.

And, unknown to Lucy, she's already treading it…

Dark, gritty and ALWAYS edge-of-your-seat. Paul Finch will leave fans of Rachel Abbott and MJ Arlidge gasping for more.

Engrossing, intriguing and a damn fine tale. Expertly crafted narrative with only an odd predictable twist in the tale. But even then it wasn't obvious
Great story, well written an narrated.
New author to me and I shall certainly explore more of his books

Really enjoyed the plot, narrator was appropriate but have my faves for this kind of book in Paul Thornley types.

Great story loved it

I found this one to be an overall good read. When I was in my teens I broke my wrist after a motorbike accident and whilst in plaster I found it totally impossible to ride an automatic scooter let alone a 900cc monster at breakneck speeds so there was more than a hint of "poetic licence" in this one for my taste and there was a feeling of "girl power" too. All in all it was a good story and so well worth the credit I spent on it

Action Packed!!

I was a little hesitant as female protagonists and villains don't usually deliver the dark rollercoaster thriller that stands out in a saturated genre. Or at least that is my experience thus far. Lucy Clayburn could stand in th company of Chris Cooper's Darcy Mcormick and Slaughter's Sarah Benton, and for this reason I have already pre-ordered her next installment!
It was a little slow at first but don't abandon ..... It's like climbing the huge incline at the start of Blackpool's Pepsi Max "Big One" when it first opened, on the moment of release, it descends into a bare knuckle ride of twist turns & loop the loops until it's stops!!!
You may well find yourself googling Finch's next release date too!!! The Narrator is a class act , top-notch, ENJOY!! :-)

Brilliant plt , brilliant narrator. Paul Finch delivers once again!!

Interesting story but the hero was going rogue a lot for no reason yet you always knew it would end well for her - not much suspense

Couldn't quite get into it
