I really appreciated the background to why I should strength train - and I had never thought of bone health. This book gives great insight into how our body works including the musculoskeletal system and our muscles. It helped me a lot to understand the science behind it all. It was also really useful to get an idea of it all by age and gender including menopause and beyond. When it comes to the exercises, it cleverly focus’ on 10 key things that is can deliver for you - making it so easy to grasp and get started especially in which order to do things. It had me hooked from the very early chapters, and, until now, have avoided strength training. Now starting a class in 3 days time and already started the exercises! A very good book that will help almost anyone of any age. Great narration too!

My main problem with my fitness regime has always been my commitment to my fitness goals and maintaining them. Each time I start, I do not complete it. My friend sent this book to me and it has inspired me to try again and stick to it this time around. the author doesn't just give you reasons why fitness is to be fought for but also gives practical, fun advice, tips, and tons of up-to-date information. Strength training can indeed be done at any stage of life, and there are many ways to achieve this. I am thinking of joining a Zumba class as we speak.
