Apart from the seriousness of the story the banter between the characters had me chuckling on more than one occasion. Tense storyline and looking forward to to listening to the next one

Brutal is an understatement, dark is at the core, fuelled by pain and loss, two people finding each other and the ultimate question is will they kill each other or build a life spurned by darkness.
No spoilers, but book two brings it all together in the most masochistic way it cannot be missed.
Narration is perfect, the banter and background humour are the perfect balance to a dark telling of mafia vengeance.
Cannot recommend highly enough, but honestly, book two makes the whole series an absolute masterpiece. Brilliant.
