Micah “Sully” Sullivan has settled into a solitary life at the family horse ranch after her father’s death. When her long-term vet, Doc Barton, plans to retire, his granddaughter, Bryn, arrives to take over his practice. An attack on one of Sully’s prized horses throws Sully and Bryn into a whirlwind as they fight to save the young animal. Oh Dear, AS gives us 'Hits and Misses' and this is a definite miss ! It's very AS, lots of food and saccharine but 'Sullivan's Trace' just doesn't work , it isn't helped by the poor narration (Bryn sounds like she is on Helium) ! Kendal loses both parents in an horrific crash and the next thing we know she is having the 'time of her life' at The Trace ! Talk about U-Haul ,Bryn and Myka move in together within a month. There also seems very little work gets done. I wonder if AS is trying to recreate the feel good of the excellent 'Cast Iron Farm' series, it certainly set the tone for the whimsical AS (as opposed to her Drama/Paranormal Books) , but ' CIF' this is not. The Book was a good idea poorly executed !
