About this listen

Summer with My Sister is a fascinating tale of family secrets and hidden rivalries, from Sunday Times best-selling author Lucy Diamond.

Polly has always been the high-flier of the family, with the glamorous city lifestyle to match.

Clare is a single mum with two children, struggling to make ends meet in a ramshackle cottage. The two sisters are poles apart and barely on speaking terms.

But then Polly's fortunes change unexpectedly and her world comes crashing down. Left penniless and with nowhere else to go, she's forced back to the village where she and Clare grew up, and the sisters find themselves living together for the first time in years. With an old flame reappearing for Polly, a blossoming new career for Clare and a long-buried family secret in the mix, sparks are sure to fly. Unless the two women have more in common than they first thought?

Nice story line maybe a bit predictable, but no so much that one doesn’t want to keep on reading

Cute

This was something a bit different and fun. Lucy manages to transport the listener to the fantastic islands of Greece. Great storyline bobbing and weaving throughout the book until the end. Love it all.

An amazing tale to take you to Greece

It was the weakest of Lucy Diamonds books that I've listened to. Cheesy and predictible unfortunally.

didn't like it :(

I think this must have been one of Lucy Diamond’s earlier efforts. It was dated by various details: BlackBerry phones, Nintendo DS both very much 90s/00s.
It was a fairly predictable story. The narrator’s accents were pretty dreadful to be honest. Every character sounded like a caricature of an ex public schoolboy or a wurzel. Luckily Lucy Diamond has improved.

Not her best

Shallow, trivial, and predictable. The narrator did her best with a flimsy story, which, from my point of view, lacked interest in prose, characters, story and wit. Sorry!

Disappointing
