Sweet Surrender is book 3 in the Love & Legacy series and it can read entirely fine as a standalone. I absolutely adored Jamie & Ashton's story. I was hooked right from the start, the push and pull, the tension, the chemistry between the 2, even if they “hated” each other. I loved the storyline, the plot was really intriguing and I really enjoyed the suspense aspect that Bella threw in there, I was not expecting that and it was a pleasant surprise. She added some twists and it just made for an even better story. Bella is a master with words, a master with her storytelling, but I believe she outdid herself with this one, it was amazing!

Jamie and Ashton have this insane chemistry, both mentally and physically. I adored how they learnt to be friends again and then finally explore the deeper feelings that always lingered. It was emotional, layered, full of fun banter and filled with so much past history. The way they came back together was so genuine and felt so real. The way he was so gentle, caring and constantly there for Ashton made my knees weak. I loved how they both grew apart from each other on their own terms. The found family was the cherry on top, the beautiful support they all offered one another was top tier !

Overall, this so far is my favorite book in the series. It was so complete, made me feel all the emotions and just had me in its grips right from the start.

🎧 The narration by Samantha Brentmoor & Jason Clarke was amazing. They fit so well together. Their tones were perfect, the emotions they brought to the story were perfect, the way they delivered the story truly enhanced the experience even more. Such a fantastic audiobook, highly recommend!

I love Bella Matthews! Every time I delve into one of her books, I get lost for hours, the perfect escape to a small town and the perfect romance. Jamie has been in love with Ashton forever, but a warning has kept him from her for years. When the two are caught together in a blizzard with one hotel room and have a night of passion. Fast forward, and Ashton is called to Kroydon Hills to take guardianship of her baby sister because her mother has been arrested. Her best friend Finn,Jamie's brother have her come to live with the guys with the baby while they sort things out. Forced proximity shows a side of Jamie that Ashton never realized as he is sweet and comforting not only to her but the baby too.Then the most unthinkable happens! Life sometimes fumbles but end with a touchdown! This is just how Bella Matthews writes this story. Ashton grows so much during this, realizing what is important to her, and how she can still enjoy her love for dancing. Jamie shows his protective side and keeps his girls safe. I was all in with this one, it's sweet and loving with just a hint of suspense that kept the story flowing and exciting. Loved it!

Jason Clarke and Samantha Brentmoor had the best time recording this. How do I know? Because it's easy to hear it through their performance. Each scene is perfectly filled with every emotion necessary to keep the story real and moving. It's a fabulous narration and one you should one click now!

This is the third book in the Love & Legacy series, a small town romance. Jamie and Ashton’s story is sweet and engaging, filled with tension, drama and humor. Jamie is a great character—handsome, protective, caring, and supportive. Ashton is beautiful, smart, and determined. I enjoyed this brother’s best friend romance. It’s also a pleasure to reconnect with characters from the first books. I love the family ties and friendships in this series. I thoroughly enjoyed this installment and look forward to what comes next.
