About this listen

Narrated by best-selling rom-com duo Erin Mallon and Teddy Hamilton!

Dean is certain that fake dating the cute owner of his new bakery investment could be messy...but messy can be fun.

Norah Donahue wants bakeries, not babies, but her matchmaking mother won't stop trying to play Cupid.

Dean Moser is a cocky stock market savant whose friends are all settling down, leaving Boulder's infamous ladies' man all alone.

When Norah needs a fake date for her parents' anniversary party, her new silent investor is the perfect guy for the job. It seems like a foolproof plan....

That is until Norah decides to break her biggest rule and lock lips with Dean in the middle of the party to spite her meddling mother.

Turns out that Dean and Norah's chemistry is sizzling hot, and mixing business with pleasure could turn out to be a recipe for disaster.

Or maybe they can have their cake and eat it, too.

Nora and Dean are so fun and their "fake relationship" was one of the few I have actually enjoyed reading. It is not my favorite trope, but for the most part these two were honest with each other and not playing games. I loved Nora's independence, and Dean's button pushing. They were both strong characters with vulnerabilities that made them feel real. I enjoyed seeing the rest of the characters from the Wait With Me series and Erin Mallon and Teddy Hamilton were amazing as always. Teddy was especially growly in this one, and at one point in the book I forgot Erin was narrating Dean's lines because her man voice was on point in this one. This was a completely enjoyable romantic comedy, Amy Daws writes fun books!

P.S. I loved the Gilmore girl references and I am totally Team Dean (fight me)

Ah another great story from Amy Daws. The fourth book in the "Wait with me" series.

Dean the self made finance guy falls hard for Norah the gorgeous, ambitious baker. After striking out with Kate from Book 1 - Wait with me, and Lynsey from Book 3 - One Moment Please, Dean finally gets his HEA.

It all starts out as two friends helping each other out with keeping up appearances for Noah's family and Dean's friends. Who doesn't love a good fake romance? I certainly do, and all that talk of croinuts (not to be mistaken with cronuts) made me so hungry for pastries. These guys have hot and steamy "fake sex" and I was here for it. Also, I love that Amy didn't write Norah's dreams out of the story so they could be together in the end. Who says a woman can't have her croinuts and eat them too! Dean you were delicious and I loved that this eternal bachelor fell hard. These narrators definitely did this story justice. A great 4.5 stars listen.

I won this audibook in a giveaway by Amy Daws so thank you for gracing my ears with this deliciousness!!

When I need a good, funny, steamy romance, Amy Daws is the woman I go to. This came to me a the perfect time! Needing a diversion for an hour or two, I queued this up. And you can guess what happened. I almost finished it before going to bed! It is that much fun! Meet Norah, a successful entrepreneur who owns bakeries. Right there I am hooked. A strong, confident successful woman. Of course she doesn't have time for a social life, she is a busy woman! Her customer and new investor, Dean comes to her aid when she needs a date for her parent's anniversary party. In turn, when he needs a date for a friends weekend, she goes with him. Neither wants a relationship, so this is perfect. Or is it? Witty banter, steamy scenes, sore muscles(that scene cracked me up!), a treasure hunt, delicious pastries, anger, frustration, and success all are in your ears, taking the sweet journey with these two. Each is true to life and easy to relate to. And we can't forget seeing old friends for the previous books and the tire shop references! This is a gem and you don't want to miss it.

The series continues with the team of Erin Mallon and Teddy Hamilton and these two are incredible. I love them together! They both have an easy flow that pulls you in and makes you feel like we are friends. A familiarity creating an intimate feeling as you listen. Their comedic timing is spot on and the characters are fantastic. Loved every minute!

Nobody can dispute the magic that Amy Daws produces when she creates the crazy lives of her characters.

However, Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon raise this story to a new level. I laughed out loud a number of times and I've already read the book!

In my opinion this is the best of the Wait With Me series and I can't wait to see what's coming next!

Norah has put her heart and soul into ensuring her bakery is a success and with the help of Dean, a silent investor, she is ready to open a second location. She is focused on her career much to the consternation of her mother who believes that her life’s goal should consist of being a wife and mother.

Dean is a loyal friend and a successful businessman, but he believes that due to his past that love and relationships are not in his future. They both have people in their lives who are determined to become their personal matchmakers so an arrangement where they pretend they are dating seems like the solution to both their problems. What could possibly go wrong?

The banter between them will have you laughing out loud, the chemistry is intense as two people who weren’t looking for love find their perfect match in spite of themselves. The narration of this story was a perfect fit to the characters and it make a great story even better.

Dean and Norah!
