I thought the premise of this book was a clever way to get more practice for beginners just starting to learn Portuguese. Rather than listening to the usual stuff, "Hello, my name is ...." or, "Where is the bathroom?" the author has pulled together a series of interesting stories to improve your skills with. I really like how the stories are given in Portuguese first and then in English. That forces your brain to pay even closer attention to try to figure out what is being said than if you had heard it in English first. If you are trying to learn Portuguese, there is no reason not to get this book!
