My enemy is the Apocalypse. Anonymous. Faceless. Shrouded in cloaks and deception.
They are the true puppeteers of East Point, pulling the strings of their minions and controlling the masses of sheep. They're cowards hiding behind false identities and blank addresses.
And guess who's still their number one plaything? Yep, that's me.
When I came to East Point, I had one mission in mind: find the people responsible for killing my best friend. And boy, did I get more than I bargained for. Everything I've looked into twists and turns into dead ends.
No one is who they say they are.
When identities are revealed, we're more screwed than before. With every step we take forward, we're thrust a million steps back.
But this time, I'm not alone. I have my four guys by my side. Together, with shreds of new evidence and better technology, we will continue our investigation into Magnolia's murder. And bring justice to her death.
Or die trying.
Tangled Truths is a full-length, dark, contemporary, new adult bully romance. Full of mystery, spicy scenes, and foul language. It is a why-choose novel, meaning the FMC has more than one love interest and does not have to choose. FMMMM This is book two of The Apocalypse Society and will end in a cliffhanger. It is not a standalone.
Contains mature content. A complete list of content warnings can be found on the author's website.
©2025 Aly Beck (P)2025 Podium AudioI honestly didn't think this series could get any better after Book 1, but it absolutely does.
I loved every minute of this journey. The story becomes deeper, darker and even more mysterious, with twists that kept me completely hooked. The characters continue to develop, and I became even more invested in what was happening to them.
If you have any trigger warnings, I'd definitely recommend checking them before diving in, as this book explores some darker themes than the first. That said, none of it felt there for shock value—it all added to the story and made the mystery even more compelling.
The narration is once again outstanding. Raven Wildewood continues to deliver an incredible performance, and Aaron Shedlock has a much bigger role in this book. The two of them are fantastic together and bring the characters to life perfectly.
As soon as I finished this one, I went straight into Book 3. I genuinely didn't want this series to end.
It just gets better!
