Years before, they had escaped together from the sinister Tombs of Atuan - she an isolated young priestess, he a powerful wizard. Now she is a farmer's widow, having chosen for herself the simple pleasures of an ordinary life. And he is a broken old man, mourning the powers lost to him not by choice.

A lifetime ago they helped each other at a time of darkness and danger. Now they must join forces again to help another - the physically and emotionally scarred child whose own destiny remains to be revealed.

things happen whether we want them to or not, whether it's for the better or not is outside of our will.
this book is good at showing us how to accept things we don't like and accept that there are things better than our own ideal way of events.
it's well told and with lots of things to ponder

She’s a genius. She grew and grew and never stopped growing.
Beautiful reading.
Listen to the first 3 first!

This was a good follow on from the first three books, has a totally different feeling \ theme and attitude to it, which may be due in part to the author taking so long to pen the book so let's not spoil it for those still to listen or read it
I have already purchased and downloaded book 5 and look forward to finding out where this goes now
Having read the descriptions this may fill in some respects of the previous books
Time will tell
If you enjoyed the other three books this may raise a few eyebrows at first but it's well worth a listen

The most human, profound and positively subversive of Le Guin's Earthsea novels. My favourite! Beautifully performed!

Excellent reading of my favourite Earthsea book!

Such a fresh take on what can be a very stilted Genre. I don't think I have cared more about characters in any book I've read before. All of it is good, all of it.

Wonderful
