Summary

I’m living a double life.

During the day, I help women gain their confidence and look their best.

On the weekends, I encourage women to embrace their sexuality on the darker side of the web.

After all, sex is beauty.

When my older brother’s best friend appears at my family’s cabin the night I’m filming an episode, I’m surprised to see him. It’s been six years since Reed vanished from my life.

After learning where he’s been and why, I offer him an opportunity to start over. Reed is reluctant. He’s on probation, loyal to my brother, and doesn’t want to do anything to jeopardize his freedom.

So we agree that his identity will remain a secret and that my brother will never find out.

Going into this, I’d expected some serious spice. I mean, the fmc is a cam girl who runs into her brother’s best friend who just got out of prison and they end up *ahem* collaborating to make some quick cash. And when it comes to spice Lucia Franco always delivers. This book was no different.

But it was also more than that. It was funny and heartfelt, and the chemistry between the two main characters was very clear. Chemistry that was made only more apparent by the narration of Lidia Dornet and Sebastian York.

It’s also got a surprising amount of depth. Friendship and sacrifice are themes throughout. Also, the idea of owning our sexuality, embracing it as much as we embrace other aspects of our personalities. Not shaming others for their liberation.

This is definitely one to get on audio if that’s your thing. I’d listen to Sebastian York read the freaking weather, frankly, and he was as good here as always. And Lidia Dornet did a wonderful job of bringing warmth and humour to her reading.

Tell Me What You Want was a fun, brother’s best friend, forbidden, age gap romance and I loved the characters so much. Vanessa was bold and unapologetically herself. Reed’s protectiveness towards Vanessa was adorable! The chemistry between these two was explosive and just so well done. Lucia Franco always delivers on the spice and this brother’s best friend romance was definitely not lacking in spice!

Sebastian York and Lidia Dornet’s performance in this audiobook was chef’s kiss and I could not stop listening to this book!

Vanessa is a beauty influencer and on the side is a secret cam girl. She heads to the cabin she owns with her brother, Noah, to bulk film the cam girl videos to find her brother’s best friend, Reed, is staying there.

Reed is 8 years older than Vanessa and has been in prison for 6 years. He resists Vanessa’s advances but the inevitable happens.

I liked the discussion around sex workers, the sex positivity, that Vanessa checks in on Reed and his boundaries. I also enjoyed the intense chemistry between Vanessa and Reed and the sex scenes. Reed steals the show in this book 🔥

The narrators did a great job and the book flew by.

A fun, steamy listen

It's not my style, but I love a sex-positive heroine and story. Got me out of a slump, so thanks Lucia!

This was my first Lucia Franco book so I went in blind.
This audiobook has a lot of schmut, a lot of sexy times but not a lot of character growth or plot.
Another thing this book has in spades is women empowerment and a crackdown on misogynistic views.
Seb Yo as Reed was amazing; Lidia Dornet as Vanessa was incredible.
