Critic reviews

"Granger has combined the cozy with the procedural for an engrossing look at an English village, one that pulls aside the veil of comfort to reveal the wickedness lurking beneath." (Dallas Morning News)

I was gripped by this although it was quite sad in some places. Very well written and moving.

Another great story by Ann Granger. And read so beautifully by Judith Boyd. I'm always quite lost when I get to the end and have to come back to reality.

Great entertainment

Another great M and M story; with a fairly unusual twist. My only disappointment was I thought it would conclude with a wedding, and it didn't!

I have now listened to three of Ann Granger books involving Mitchell and Markby , the plots have been entertaining and engrossing. I have especially enjoyed the varied voices of Judith Boyd,

Full marks for all three

Ann Granger doesn't disappoint with this carefully-crafted story excellently read by Judith Boyd. You really want to know what happens next. All the characters are well-drawn so one doesn't get confused as to who is whom, which I find can happen when one listens to rather than reads a story.

Excellent story well read
