After the1st wave, only darkness remains. After the 2nd, only the lucky escape. And after the 3rd, only the unlucky survive. After 4th wave, only one rule applies: trust no one.

NOW IS THE DAWN OF THE 5TH WAVE

On a lonely stretch of highway, Cassie runs.
Runs from the beings that only look human, who have scattered Earth's last survivors.

To stay alone is to stay alive, until she meets Evan Walker. Beguiling and mysterious, Evan may be her only hope.

Now Cassie must choose: between trust and despair, between defiance and surrender, between life and death.

What made the experience of listening to The 5th Wave the most enjoyable?

The two narrators were excellent! I knew exactly which character was speaking and they were two of the best narrators I have listened to in a while. Totally drew you into the story!

What did you like best about this story?

I loved the different view points told in the story. Made you relate to each character and understand what they were thinking or feeling at the time! I also just loved the story, totally refreshing and love that it included flashbacks so you understood characters backstory!

Which character – as performed by Phoebe Strole and Brandon Espinoza – was your favourite?

I loved Cassie! Her inner monologue was great, totally relatable and expected for a 16 year old dealing with what she has to deal with! I loved her!

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Both! Cassie's thoughts often made me laugh, they were very realistic and just very funny without meaning to be! It was also very emotional and at certain points there were tears in my eyes!

Any additional comments?

If you have readers block and are sick of hearing the same story over and over read this book! Totally different to books I have read before and while some elements are similar it's given a fresh take on them and you won't be disappointed!
