Summary

The complete guide to therapeutic parenting, with an A-Z of applied advice for 60 common issues

Therapeutic parenting is a deeply nurturing parenting style, and is especially effective for children with attachment difficulties, or who experienced childhood trauma. This book provides everything you need to know in order to be able to effectively therapeutically parent.

Providing a model of intervention, The A-Z of Therapeutic Parenting gives parents or caregivers an easy to follow process to use when responding to issues with their children. The following A-Z covers 60 common problems parents face, from acting aggressively to difficulties with sleep, with advice on what might trigger these issues, and how to respond.

Easy to navigate and written in a straightforward style, this book is a 'must have' for all therapeutic parents.

Found the audiobook really hard to listen to as the narrator doesn’t have the best voice and is slightly dreary sounding. Wishing I had bought the paperback instead. Whoever signed off the audio voice in publishing should have chosen a better and more uplifting voice for the topic. Sorry, I’m just being honest. It’s a shame as the content seems good I just gave up after chapter 3. Couldn’t bear any more.

Should have chosen a better narrator

Interesting listening to Sarah explain why children behave in the way they do when coming from and into foster care/adoption

I don’t believe that this book translate very well into an audiobook.
It is hugely informative and poses some great scenarios, potential consequences and ways to manage.
The book is read without expression. After three hours I can no longer listen to the book due to the monotony of the tone. Whilst it is a great book I would suggest a paper copy.

Informative but the narration is extremely hard work
