Listening to this audiobook was a turning point for me. For years, I couldn’t figure out why I felt so anxious in relationships or why I kept repeating the same painful patterns. This helped everything click into place. I finally understood how growing up without a father had shaped my sense of self-worth, my fear of being abandoned, and the way I connect with others. The author explained things in a way that felt personal and compassionate, not clinical. It was emotional at times, but also incredibly validating. For the first time, I felt like I wasn’t broken, I just hadn’t seen the full picture. This will help you understand on a deeper level you emotional patterns and help you heal and find way forward.

Chloe Vaughn writes a really enlightening book about how a father's absence affects a daughter's self-esteem, relationships, and choices in life. This audiobook was an unexpected learning experience for me. It helped me solidify my suspicions about why my choices in past relationships were such failures. As with me, she gives people understanding, healing, and strength through her own tales and psychological insights. Her kind way of telling the story makes it easy to understand and change. I greatly respect her story of strength and resilience. The wisdom gained from her experiences will benefit anyone who wants to find peace, closure, or emotional strength from previous hurts.

Exceptional!

I had a very reliable, strong father while growing up, so I guess I never thought about the girls who didn’t have their fathers at home. This audiobook makes it very clear that the damage can go far beyond childhood, affecting much more than a girl’s relationship to men.

This book provides many practical (and hopefully, effective) strategies and therapies to help women bounce back from the absence of a father. Limiting beliefs and doubts can be reframed by asking oneself reflective questions suggested by the author.
