I really enjoyed the first two books in this series - Johnny Be Good & Baby Of Mine - so I bought the Jessie Jefferson series to continue the saga. The plot of this book is quite good & I enjoyed the performance of the narrator but Jessie has to be the most annoying character I've come across in recent years. I found myself really disliking the character as I found her selfish, annoying, self-centred, irritating and rude. I'm unsure whether it's the way the character is written or the performance that makes me dislike her so much. I gave the book a good go as I wanted to see what happens to Johnny & Meg but I couldn't finish it - I also returned the other two books in the series unread. If you can get past the hideous protagonist of this series you will find it enjoyable but unfortunately it's a huge no from me. Such a shame!
