Summary
The Adventures of Gunnar McGregor is a satirical look at romance novels, and really books in general, written by a friendly guy who has clearly never read an entire romance novel.
The story follows a yoga instructor from Portland, Oregon, Grace Lipensky, and Gunnar McGregor, a jungle survival expert and amateur pilot who also lives in Portland, Oregon. Together, they navigate the tough realities of meeting someone new, escaping kidnappers, raising a puppy, and solving ancient Egyptian mysteries. With notable characters such as Hendo, the puppy, Eric who is tall in real life, and several other characters who were assigned names, The Adventures of Gunnar McGregor is sure to please old people and children alike. It's probably not the best audiobook you've ever heard, but it's better than Twilight.
