This is a beautifully written, majestically narrated biography. It is neither a hagiography nor a polemic. It is a balanced engaging, always interesting, story of the era that brought the USA into modernity. I can’t recommend it enough

Fawning biography. Absolutely the worst I have read of any president since TR. (I've read on them all). Childlike simplicity in coverage of Suez. This is not a warts and all bio and consequently is of little value as an account of history or an insight into a giant. No giant has no warts.
