Now that he's of age, Will leaves the temple on his own and sets out into the world as a warrior, priest, and sorcerer of Gracefeel. Incredible things, both good and bad, inevitably lie ahead . . . but the immediate future is uncertain. Two centuries have elapsed since the battle against the High King of the Eternals. Are there any humans left in the land beyond, or is Will truly alone now? Even if he finds other people, will he find allies in them? Or is the darkness of the outside world deeper than he ever dreamed?

Additionally, I find it really difficult to pinpoint what age the target audience is supposed to be. like in the first book, it mostly feels like a lighthearted book targeting 10-15 year olds, but at times we're hit with some pretty intense emotional stuff or explicit violence that feels more 16+.
The narrator is not terrible, but he is definitely not suited for a book where he's expected to do many different voices with different levels of pitch and intensity.
overall I do not recommend this book unless your tolerance for cringe is very high or if you really like anime.
very flawed.
