I listened to two others in this series and this one is heads and shoulders above. There is some truly creative thinking in this set. I highly encourage you to Listen.

This is the best in the series!

I felt that in general the stories were a bit forgettable. Obviously it's just my opinion and it's not fair to all of them.

Not very interesting.

a very mixed bag. I loved the fact that there was a very diverse set of stories set in so many different countries and cultures, and there were a couple of really great stories.
On the whole though, more than half of these were very dull, and not helped by some monotonous narrators. Made it difficult to concentrate. skipped 3 of 4 entirely after 10 minutes.
but I it was free on Audible Plus so can't complain too much

a very mixed selection, with a few gem

Anthologies are mixed bags by nature, so I rate them based on how much I enjoyed my favourite entry. And I REALLY enjoyed 'The Mocking Tower'. You can also find it free to read online, and can listen to it in 'The Book of Swords'. I strongly recommend doing both. It's a great story, clever, enticing, and rich in its fantasy as well as its character and thematic work.

I'm sorry to say none of the other entries in this collection really gripped me, but I'm picky to an absurd degree, so I imagine most other listeners will find a lot more to enjoy and revisit here.

4.5 stars for 'The Mocking Tower'
