This was my first book by Lily Parker and wasn't disappointed! I love the storyline and even though you know how its going to end, the journey to get there is worth going on. The book well written where you easily picture and connect with the characters. Just like a good box set, this book had me hooked and I just had to keep listening to see what happened as they arrived at their next destination. A lovely book about friendship being the family you choose and about second chances.

All three stories in this series are engaging, but while the first two share similar traits, this one truly stands on its own. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to the characters as the plot unfolded. The narration is excellent and really complements the story.

I have listened to the other two books and have loved the characters and so had high hopes for this one, but as other reviews have stated, Juliet is the most frustrating character. She is so negative, hurtful and unforgiving, it’s literally unbelievable. I know we need ‘hurdles’ to overcome or the book isn’t interesting enough, but choosing to be the villain in her own story is just so dumb. It’s a shame, this had such potential and I do love the performance of this, but several times I just had to pause and walk away in frustration.
