Still has annoying music but as always brilliantly written. The world is so close to our own you feel you can visit it and you know the characters already.
The narration was full of characters but the female characters sounded a weird.
All in all I really enjoyed this first in series book and will be starting the next immediately.

This book is so clever! Jasper must have sat giggling to himself as he wrote it. I am so impressed by how the narrative unfolds and includes the different nursery rhymes. I recommend this book to anyone with dark humour and enjoys puns!

This is a pure delight, with the intermingling of crime and nursery characters living in the world, this shouldn't work, but does and beautifully, it engaged me both as a crime mystery and also on the humour and how nursery stories can be viewed as crimes. The narration is spot on.
