My first experience with this author and I was impressed with the delivery of this novella and the twists, although some of the events in the story left me a bit confused.
Serial killer stories always grab my attention as there’s so many tales about them already that it’s difficult to come up with something impactful. Although this plot is not something unheard of, its execution, the writing style and the ending, result in a gripping story where the villain steals the readers’ heart, with a twist at the end that I did not see coming.
I loved the structure of the story in scenes, with an intermission that was really interesting and probably worth it of an expansion. I thought the narrator was great and kept me glued to my earphones. The gore and extreme scenes were also great as expected from extreme horror.
For fans of extreme horror and serial killer stories, looking for a twisty plot and surprising characters, this one delivers.
